Starting at $18.00/hour (Higher pay based on experience) Direct Staffing is recruiting for one of our valued clients , a local metal recycling company, that is seeking a mechanically inclined individual for a long-term career opportunity. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone with verifiable mechanical experience who is eager to learn, takes pride in their work, and wants to build a long-term career. Schedule 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Responsibilities Perform equipment maintenance and repairs. Weld and fabricate as needed. Service and troubleshoot mechanical equipment. Use computers and electronic equipment for equipment diagnostics and maintenance records. Sharpen industrial shears (experience preferred). Work alongside an experienced mechanic to learn company-specific equipment and procedures. Qualifications Previous verifiable mechanical experience is required. Welding experience required. Experience servicing and repairing industrial equipment. Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills. Comfortable using computers and electronic equipment. Experience sharpening industrial shears is a plus. Able to retain and apply technical knowledge. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Dependable with excellent attendance.
