Electro Mechanical Technician's Purpose:

\nThe Electro Mechanical Technician's primary responsibility is to maintain equipment in a proactive manner; identify, troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all factory equipment. Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability. Build operator technical skills and capability.

Electro Mechanical Technician's Shift:

\nThis shift is a 12 hour shift; 4:00PM to 4:00

Thursday

Saturday (every other Wednesday)

Electro Mechanical Technician's Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain Factory Equipment:

Identify defects, execute maintenance plan and troubleshoot equipment. Work in various areas of the plant including: Material handling and storage equipment.\nUnderstand Power distribution system (up to 480 volts).\nControl systems

Basic PLC, Motor, sensor, drives and Basic electrical circuits, Basic understanding of device communication networks.\nMechanical system
Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical Drive systems.

\nTroubleshooting and problem solving skills to maintain, optimize and improve production equipment, with key plant indicators such as safety, quality, cost.\nReview maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment.\nReview required spare parts to keep maximize technical warehouse service factor.\nMaintains engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical).

Build capability:

Coach operator skills

adjustments / changeovers for new and improvements in existing process.

For example:

new centerlines, improved cleaning process, improved changeover process, elimination of a SOC or HTRP. Build technical procedures.\nTrain other technical resources and needed.\nUse of continuous improvement system such as TPM / Lean. CMMS system (AMM): Access and utilize AMM to accurately document all maintenance activities in AMM\nIdentify and create Work orders.\nPerform time entry and technical feedback on work performed.\nAnalyze data to improve the maintenance plan.\nImprove / Create necessary task list.\nAnalyze line performance data and provide line improvement support based on findings and analysis. Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

High school Diploma or GED\nTwo year Technical Degree in Maintenance related area such as Maintenance Technical/Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Electronics technology or equivalent work experience

Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong Mechanical skills (Hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical drive systems, and Principle of operation)\nFacilities maintenance experience (chillers, air turnover units, cooling towers, HVAC, dock doors\nWelding, fabrication and machining skills\nElectrical skills (NEC, AC & DC circuits, 480V power distribution, industrial wiring).\nBasic Electrical circuits\nBasic PLC / hardwire logic circuits knowledge\nKnowledge and use of test equipment (amp meter, megger, ect)\nKnowledge of Motors, Drives, sensors.\nRead and interpret machine, electrical and facility drawings\nFamiliar with CMMS and Production Work Flow/Control systems.\nAbility to be self-managed performing work unsupervised, re-priorities as necessary\nMust demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.\nGood communication skills with operators, other technicians and resources.\nAbility to analyze data and make decisions/recommendations based on analysis.\nAbility to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving our goals & objectives\nAble to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected.\nAble to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts (i.e. 10 hrs., 12 hrs.)\nMay require internal & external certification such as Sanitary welding, vibration, thermography, etc.\nUnderstand how automated equipment and its components work. Remain proficient with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial electrical control systems, electromechanical systems, instrumentation, and fluid power.\nProperly use mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.\nUnderstand the operating principles and function of the electrical control and power components and circuits utilized in automated equipment.\nOperate, troubleshoot, and diagnose industrial circuits used in control and distribution.\nObtain and maintain certifications required by Nestle policies (ie Arch Flash, LOTO, PTWs, etc)
