Our capabilities include cable and wire harness assemblies, PCB design and engineering, electromechanical and box-build integration, sheet-metal and machined components, prototyping, and manufacturing services. We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality organization and strengthen our commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable products to our customers. Position Summary The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all quality inspection and control activities associated with cable assemblies, wire harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, box builds, and related manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of hands-on quality experience in cable assembly, wire harness, electronics, electromechanical, or high-reliability manufacturing, along with strong working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and
ISO/AS9100
quality systems. This position requires a hands-on manager who is comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor, reviewing workmanship, resolving quality issues, communicating with customers and suppliers, and developing the Quality team. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians.
  • Oversee incoming, in-process, first-article, and final inspections.
  • Ensure products meet customer drawings, specifications, workmanship requirements, and internal quality standards.
  • Maintain authority to stop production or shipment when significant quality concerns are identified.
  • Develop and train Quality personnel to improve inspection consistency, technical knowledge, and accountability.
  • Provide technical quality oversight for cable and wire harness manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure workmanship complies with applicable
IPC/WHMA-A-620
Class 2 and Class 3 requirements.
  • Support compliance with
IPC J-STD-001, ISO
9001, AS9100, and AS9102 requirements.
  • Manage NCR, MRB, CAPA, SCAR, customer complaints, supplier defects, and quality escapes.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis, 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, and corrective-action activities.
  • Review engineering drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Review First Article Inspection documentation.
  • Maintain quality procedures, inspection instructions, records, and traceability documentation.
  • Ensure calibration requirements are maintained for inspection and test equipment.
  • Support supplier qualification and supplier performance improvement.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Program Management, and Operations to resolve quality issues.
  • Drive improvements in First Pass Yield, defect reduction, scrap, rework, customer returns, and Cost of Poor Quality. Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering experience in cable assembly, wire harness, electronics, electromechanical, or related manufacturing.
  • Strong practical knowledge of
IPC/WHMA-A-620.
  • Experience inspecting cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
  • Strong understanding of crimp quality and workmanship requirements.
  • Ability to identify crimping, stripping, soldering, connector, pinning, labeling, and routing defects.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Experience with NCR, MRB, CAPA, SCAR, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience working within an ISO-based Quality Management System.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead investigations and drive corrective actions to closure. Preferred Qualifications

    • ITAR-controlled manufacturing environment Education Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
    Equivalent technical education combined with significant manufacturing quality experience may also be considered.
    Pay:
    $125,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
