Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engine and Transmission Builder to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining engines and transmissions with precision and adherence to strict quality standards. Your expertise will ensure that each component meets safety, performance, and durability requirements, contributing to the production of top-tier mechanical systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and techniques in a dynamic industrial environment dedicated to excellence in manufacturing. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and production documents to accurately assemble engines and transmissions. Utilize specialized industrial tools, power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to perform precise measurements and assembly tasks. Conduct quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process to verify measurements, alignment, and adherence to quality standards in production. Assemble motor engines and transmissions by following detailed assembly procedures, ensuring proper mechanical fit and function. Perform machining operations as needed for component fitting using machining tools while maintaining safety protocol adherence. Document all assembly steps clearly in manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate records of work performed. Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling heavy machinery such as forklifts or when working with welding equipment or other specialized industrial tools. Qualifications Proven experience in mechanical assembly, engine building, or automotive repair with a strong understanding of powertrain systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to engines and transmissions. Skilled in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement instruments for quality control purposes. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with aviation or industrial manufacturing standards is a plus but not required. Ability to interpret production documents accurately while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Mechanical knowledge combined with a strong attention to detail ensures high-quality output aligned with industry standards.
