ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Production Mechanics perform a variety of tasks, including:
  • Setup and operate various bindery equipment, which may include coaters, cutters, folders, score/perf units, and gluers, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain multiple running machines throughout the production process to ensure peak performance and efficiency.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment and associated systems whenever there is downtime or a gap in production.
  • Inform supervisor of any defective parts that need to be replaced.
  • Ensure the quality and timely completion of projects, meeting client specifications and industry standards.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, other mechanics, and sorters/packers
  • Follow a production schedule to ensure jobs are being completed in the correct order and on time
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed to meet deadlines
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience operating commercial bindery equipment (preferred) Physical Demands and Abilities
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and tight spaces
  • Exposure to noise levels up to 90 dB(A)
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$21.00 - $31.00 per hour
