Maintenance B -2nd Shift
Job Description
The Maintenance B executes complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and installations across plant systems. Supports critical equipment overhauls and plays a key role in equipment reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement. Performs expert-level maintenance and troubleshooting of plant mechanical and electrical systems. Perform expert-level maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of plant mechanical and electrical systems. Lead major repairs, overhauls, and installation projects for industrial equipment. Diagnose equipment failures using technical expertise, process knowledge, equipment trends, and available data. Coordinate with supervisors and planners to establish work priorities and schedule maintenance activities. Train and mentor Maintenance 1-3 team members on proper maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and safe work practices. Fabricate custom parts and structural supports using cutting, welding, fitting, and other fabrication techniques. Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend system improvements, modifications, or upgrades to improve reliability and uptime. Ensure compliance with all plant safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures. Maintain a high level of safety and quality in all work performed. Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned. High school diploma or GED required; additional vocational or technical certifications preferred. 8+ years of industrial or heavy equipment maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work outdoors in all seasons, climb multiple levels using stairs and ladders, work from elevated platforms, and use various hand and power tools. Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) knowledge preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Experience with applicable computer software preferred. Warehouse experience preferred.
