Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Rural Water Employee and become a vital part of maintaining and improving water systems in rural communities. You will be responsible for operating various machinery, performing repairs, and supporting infrastructure projects while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate equipment including , loaders, excavators, backhoes to support water system installation, repair, and maintenance projects Perform routine equipment maintenance and repairs on power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, climbing structures, ladder use, and manual handling of materials Support construction site activities by using mechanical knowledge and construction experience to execute project plans effectively Maintain safety protocols at all times during outdoor work environments and when working around underground utilities or water systems Participate in on-call coverage for emergency repairs or system outages as needed Experience Prior experience working in the energy & utilities sector or related outdoor construction environment is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, backhoes, and other power tools Knowledge of underground utilities installation and water system maintenance is advantageous Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices for utility infrastructure Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment maintenance procedures Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously while working at construction sites or on complex utility projects Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for repairs or installations Comfortable performing heavy lifting and working at heights or climbing structures when necessary Valid commercial truck driving license or ability to obtain one Ability to obtain a Class 4 Water License This role is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy outdoor work environments and are committed to safety excellence.
