We are seeking an experienced Line Mechanic to join our maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience working in a manufacturing setting, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Perform daily repair and maintenance of plant mechanical systems and production equipment.
Maintain and repair machinery including:
De-palletizers Fillers and cappers Labelers Case packers Palletizers Conveying systems Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mixers, pumps, seals, conveyors, shrink wrappers, stretch wrappers, and related equipment. Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform repairs to minimize downtime. Identify electrical issues and communicate findings to the electrical maintenance team.
Utilize a CMMS system to:
Execute scheduled maintenance activities Complete work orders Submit maintenance requests Look up parts Create emergency work orders Investigate equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions. Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in a clean and organized manner. Communicate effectively with operators and maintenance personnel across all shifts. Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements. Adhere to GMPs, SOPs, and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience preferred). Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA guidelines. Technical Skills Experience using hand and power tools, drills, saws, cutting equipment, taps, and dies. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems. Ability to diagnose mechanical equipment failures and perform repairs. #
HP Pay:
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour
