We are currently hiring an Industrial Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Technician at our Kremin business located in Frankenmuth, Michigan . The Work We Do Matters! How You will Make a Difference At Threadlock Precision, our equipment uptime, safety, quality, and delivery performance depend on skilled maintenance support. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll play an integral role in keeping CNC machines (brands include: Okuma, Haas, Citizen, Doosan) and facility systems running reliably so our teams can produce precision components for demanding customers in aerospace, defense, and other critical industries. In this role, you'll work to solve complex equipment problems, improve machine reliability, and make a direct impact on daily production performance.

Dependent on skills and experience our range is $30-$45/hr. Primary Responsibilities CNC Equipment Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Reliability Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis machines, and related production equipment to support safe and reliable operation. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, coolant, lubrication, spindle, axis, servo, and control-related equipment issues. Respond to machine downtime, identify root causes, and complete repairs that safely return equipment to production. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and repairs to improve equipment uptime and long-term reliability. Document maintenance activities, repairs, downtime, parts usage, and recurring equipment concerns. Recommend improvements that reduce repeat failures and support safety, quality, delivery, cost, and production efficiency. Mechanical, Electrical & Facility Support Perform mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting, component replacement, machine alignment checks, and basic equipment adjustments. Maintain and repair shop support systems such as HVAC, air compressors, coolant systems, pumps, , hydraulic units, and material-handling equipment. Support facility maintenance needs, including lighting, basic plumbing, building repairs, and general plant upkeep as needed. Coordinate with outside vendors and service technicians when specialized repairs or machine service are required. Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies when performing maintenance work. Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment across production and maintenance areas. Identify unsafe equipment conditions and take appropriate action to correct or escalate concerns. Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on machine uptime, preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and production efficiency. Basic (required) Qualifications High School Diploma or GED At least two (5) years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience within manufacturing, military, or industrial environments. Preferred Qualifications (in addition to basic qualifications) Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance experience in a CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or Aerospace & defense environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work around industrial equipment for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Ability to work safely around moving machinery, electrical systems, compressed air, oils, coolants, and shop-floor equipment. Ability to use required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes. Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clearly explain equipment issues, repair status, and maintenance needs. Strong ability to learn quickly, work independently, and use sound problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment issues and implement practical repair solutions. Knowledge of CNC equipment, machine tools, industrial maintenance practices, and preventive maintenance methods. Ability to read and interpret machine manuals, electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and technical documentation. Working knowledge of motors, drives, pumps, sensors, switches, bearings, belts, ball screws, way systems, lubrication systems, and coolant systems. Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, operators, production leaders, engineering, vendors, and external service providers. Ability to utilize meters, gauges, or other types of test equipment to facilitate quality and timely repairs Strong hands-on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting ability.
