In Person Position Summary Deep Foods is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with a strong electrical background to join our Maintenance team. This position is ideal for a mechanic who enjoys working directly on the production floor, troubleshooting equipment, and partnering with machine operators to keep production running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining food manufacturing equipment, diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, and responding quickly to minimize downtime. This is not a bench or shop position. You will be actively supporting production by maintaining, repairing, and operating equipment as needed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment. Diagnose and repair industrial motors, drives, sensors, relays, and control circuits. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. Work alongside machine operators on the production floor, providing technical support and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Operate production equipment when necessary to troubleshoot issues or support production. Repair and maintain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and other mechanical components. Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs in accordance with company procedures. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency. Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, HACCP requirements, and food safety standards. Work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience , preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Strong electrical troubleshooting experience (required). Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, motors, motor controls, VFDs, and control circuits. Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, and other production equipment. Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability. Working knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and food safety regulations. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Technical or vocational training is preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and maintenance teams. Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergency repairs as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production demands. Ability to safely perform physical maintenance tasks while working around production equipment.
