Description Position is for a full-time Industrial Maintenance Mechanic and/or Industrial Electrician. Overtime may be required. The position is for day-shift with an early start, however shift and starting time can be flexible. Most importantly, we are looking for someone that fits our culture and core values. Boose Aluminum Foundry is seeking an experienced Plant Electrician / Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team. This is a hands-on electro-mechanical industrial maintenance position. While strong electrical troubleshooting skills are essential, this position is not limited to electrical work. The successful candidate will work alongside the maintenance team to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a wide variety of industrial mechanical and electrical equipment. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving equipment problems and is comfortable working from the initial diagnosis through the completed repair. Responsibilities Electrical & Controls Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.

Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, transformers, and industrial control circuits.

Troubleshoot and repair 480V three-phase, 240V, 120V, and low-voltage control systems.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.

Install electrical conduit, pull and terminate conductors, and perform general industrial electrical installations.

Install and troubleshoot disconnects, panels, junction boxes, control wiring, and other electrical components.

Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems. Mechanical & Industrial Maintenance Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment throughout the plant.

Work on equipment such as conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, chains, belts, couplings, and other production equipment.

Diagnose equipment failures involving both mechanical and electrical systems.

Perform mechanical repairs, including equipment disassembly, component replacement, alignment, and reassembly.

Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and plant improvement projects.

Work with other maintenance technicians to complete larger mechanical and electrical repairs.

Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Troubleshooting & Parts Identification Troubleshoot equipment problems systematically and identify the root cause of failures.

Help identify and specify the correct replacement parts, electrical components, mechanical components, and materials needed to complete repairs.

Assist with creating accurate parts lists and providing specifications to maintenance and purchasing personnel.

Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and prevent repeat failures.

Document repairs, findings, and parts needed for maintenance activities. Qualifications Previous experience as an Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar industrial maintenance position.

Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems and industrial control circuits.

Experience installing conduit, pulling wire, and terminating electrical conductors.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience involving industrial equipment.

Experience working with equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, chains, belts, pumps, and other mechanical systems.

Ability to identify electrical and mechanical components and determine appropriate replacement parts or repair materials.

Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment is preferred.

Welding, fabrication, machining, hydraulics, or pneumatics experience is a plus.

Experience in a manufacturing, foundry, or industrial environment is preferred. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter who can work through a problem from diagnosis to repair. We are looking for someone who can identify the root cause of an equipment failure—not simply replace parts until the equipment begins working again. The right person should be comfortable saying: "Here is what failed, why it failed, what needs to be replaced, and what materials or parts are required to complete the repair properly." This position requires a combination of electrical/mechanical troubleshooting ability, hands-on installation experience, and practical knowledge of industrial electrical/mechanical components.
