Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Maintenance Technician Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facility and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Performs preventative maintenance, responds to equipment failures, and assists with equipment installations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify root causes of failures. Perform all required preventive maintenance tasks as assigned properly and accurately Repair or replace defective components, including motors, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, valves, and electrical devices. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment issues and prevent unplanned downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation. Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications. Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to company and regulatory safety standards. Coordinate with operations, engineering, and production teams to maximize equipment performance and reliability. Assist with spare parts inventory management and recommend replacement parts as needed. Utilize hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments to perform maintenance tasks. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial control systems. Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance activities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Familiarity with CMMS software and preventive maintenance programs. Understanding of OSHA and workplace safety requirements. Must provide their own basic hand tools and tool storage.
