POSITION OVERVIEW

\nMilliken's Dewey Plant is seeking a motivated and qualified individual to join our manufacturing team as a Summer Intern. This hands-on opportunity offers immersive experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes. Interns will play a key role in enhancing performance, quality, consistency, and cost-effectiveness across the facility. As an Engineering Intern, you'll apply mechanical or electrical engineering and safety principles to real-world projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Under the mentorship of experienced managers, you'll tackle high-impact assignments designed to reduce waste, boost efficiency, streamline operations using LEAN methodologies, troubleshoot technical challenges, identify cost-saving opportunities, and refine procedural standards. While the core project will be individually led, interns will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and department leaders. Each intern will be paired with a dedicated management sponsor to provide mentorship and support throughout the internship experience. The standard work week consist of 40 hours, 8 AM - 5 PM.
