About the Role As a Precision Grinding Technician, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing operations by managing complex grinding processes to produce high-quality metal components. You will leverage your mechanical aptitude to ensure equipment efficiency and part compliance, directly contributing to our commitment to precision engineering and operational excellence. Responsibilities Operate and calibrate industrial grinding machinery, adjusting parameters to maintain strict tolerances and high-quality output. Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow. Utilize precision gauges and measurement tools to verify that work pieces meet exact specifications and quality standards. Manage the setup of work lines, including changing attachments and replacing grinding wheels safely. Coordinate material handling tasks, including the use of forklifts, hoists, and cranes to position heavy components. Monitor automated systems, including gantry devices and robotic loaders, to ensure seamless operation. Document production data accurately within the internal tracking system to maintain inventory and process records. Maintain a safe and ergonomic workspace by strictly adhering to all environmental and safety protocols. Qualifications Required Skills Proven mechanical aptitude with experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs consistently. Capacity to stand and move throughout the facility for the duration of the shift. Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely. Commitment to wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Preferred Skills Prior experience operating overhead cranes or industrial forklifts. Familiarity with CNC or automated machine control interfaces. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
