Delta Junction/Fort Greely Area Job Summary Delta Lodging is seeking a dependable, hands-on Property Maintenance Worker to support our residential and short-term stay accommodations in the Delta Junction/Fort Greely area. Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible for routine maintenance, minor repairs, unit setup, seasonal property upkeep, and responding to unscheduled maintenance needs as they arise. This role is ideal for someone who is self-directed, practical, and comfortable handling a variety of property maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will have good judgment, take pride in their work, and provide reliable, professional service in guest and resident spaces. Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and minor repair work across residential and short-term stay properties.
Complete routine and preventative maintenance, inspections, and recurring property upkeep, including water filter changes.
Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical, fixtures, appliances, doors, hardware, walls, and other property components within the scope of the role.
Handle common bathroom maintenance issues, including minor showerhead, valve, and toilet repairs.
Complete minor door and hardware maintenance, including hinge adjustments, door seal/gasket repair or replacement, lock adjustments, and battery changes.
Assist with minor appliance repairs and assessment and identify when specialized repair or replacement is needed.
Furnish, set up, and prepare apartment and short-term stay units for guests or residents, including moving and arranging furniture and other unit items.
Perform or assist with property cleaning and upkeep tasks such as carpet cleaning and window washing, as needed.
Perform seasonal exterior property maintenance, including landscaping and snow and ice removal.
Organize and maintain supply rooms, maintenance materials, tools, and property supplies.
Respond to unscheduled and emergency maintenance needs in a timely manner, including occasional needs outside normal scheduled hours.
Identify maintenance issues requiring specialized contractors or additional support and communicate needs to the General Manager.
Purchase or pick up approved parts, materials, and supplies as needed for assigned work.
Maintain basic records of work completed, materials used, and outstanding maintenance needs.
Use company tools, equipment, materials, property resources, and maintenance vehicle responsibly.
Communicate professionally and respectfully with guests, residents, vendors, and other team members. Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work, property maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.
Working knowledge of basic home and building repairs and the ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
Experience with carpet cleaning, snow plowing, landscaping, or similar property maintenance work is an asset but not required.
Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and recognize when specialized or licensed support is required.
Dependable and self-directed, with the ability to prioritize work across multiple properties.
Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working in occupied residences or guest accommodations.
Ability to work independently with good judgment and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license required; a company maintenance vehicle is available for approved work-related travel.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant trade, maintenance, construction, or safety training is an asset.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, work indoors and outdoors, and safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to travel between properties in the Delta Junction / Fort Greely area and respond to occasional emergency call-outs.
