1295 W. Fairfield Dr, Pensacola, FL 32501 Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance and Repair Worker to support the operations of a county health department facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing buildings, equipment, grounds, and vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial maintenance and possess a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general facility upkeep. Occasional travel may be required. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair of county health department facilities and equipment Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues Conduct grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep Assist with office relocations and moving furniture, equipment, and supplies Perform courier deliveries as needed Conduct vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Escort contractors and vendors while work is being performed on-site Complete safety inspections and address identified hazards Assist with emergency response and facility support activities Handle biomedical waste and assist with general cleanup duties Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate work completed Requirements Valid Driver's License General commercial maintenance experience Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and irrigation systems Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook Ability to lift and move heavy items such as furniture, boxes, and filing cabinets Comfortable handling biomedical waste and performing grounds cleanup Ability to occasionally use a personal vehicle for work-related duties Must successfully pass a Level 2 Fingerprint Background Check (FBI Level) Preferred Skills
