is currently seeking General Maintenance Worker(s) for the Operations and Maintenance of Government-Owned Facilities and Equipment at Lake Lanier. Location is a recreational site that includes boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and hiking.
Primary Responsibilities:
The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, lighting fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing and repairing damaged gates and fences, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures Knowledge of maintenance services Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & physical Must comply with company policies, OSHA, NEC, and base safety Required to safely lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, bending, work above head with arms extended, provide manual labor as necessary and work in confined spaces Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English language
COMPENSATION
We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Hourly wage will be $23.43 plus Health and Welfare of $5.09 as a General Maintenance Worker. EOE m/f/v/d
