Job Summary Join our team as a Street Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our roadway infrastructure. This energetic position involves operating heavy equipment, performing roadway repairs, and maintaining traffic control during construction and maintenance projects. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, contributing directly to the community's transportation network while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Duties Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks to perform roadway repairs and construction tasks Conduct paving operations and assist with highway maintenance projects to improve road quality and safety Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs, excavation, and utility locating activities on roadway infrastructure Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials such as asphalt, gravel, and construction debris in accordance with safety standards Implement traffic control measures for work zones to ensure worker safety and minimize disruption to motorists Maintain equipment by performing routine mechanical inspections and basic repairs Follow safety protocols rigorously during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with construction site safety standards Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or roadway projects within civil infrastructure roles is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, dump trucks, and front loader trucks effectively and safely Familiarity with power tools, welding techniques, traffic control procedures for work zones, and heavy equipment operation Hands-on experience with mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and repair Proven ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards Join us in maintaining vital transportation routes! Pay:
