Job Description

Overview The City of Kendrick is seeking a motivated. dependable, and energetic skilled maintenance worker to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the City's infrastructure, parks, and public facilities while providing excellent service to our community. This position offers a variety of hands-on work, making every day different. The successful candidate will take pride in keeping our city safe, clean, and operating efficiently. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repair of city streets and rights-of-way. Assist with operation and maintenance of the city's water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Maintain city parks, buildings, equipment, and public facilities. Operate and maintain a variety of vehicles, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery. Perform snow removal, weed control, mowing, trimming, and other seasonal maintenance. Respond to emergency situations and assist with repairs as needed. Interact professionally and courteously with residents, contractors, and visitors. Complete other public works and maintenance duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience in municipal maintenance, public works, construction, utilities, or a related field is preferred. Water and/or Wastewater Operator Certification is preferred but not required at the time of hire . Training and certification will be required after employment. Valid Idaho driver's license required. Ability to operate equipment safely and perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, problem-solving skills, and positive public relations skills.
