Job Purpose The Grounds and Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the golf course grounds during the golf season and the clubhouse year round, including exterior winter grounds maintenance. This position is expected to work nights and weekend work when required in addition to overtime hours when needed.
Maintain the golf course utilizing mowers, utility vehicles, and hand operated equipment. Change cups, set tee markers, maintain ball washers and rake bunkers. Haul materials and remove debris. Perform clubhouse duties, including, but not limited to, custodial duties, changing filters and light bulbs, cleaning windows. Perform frequent inspections on parking lot and grounds areas adjacent to clubhouse complex to maintain a clean and presentable appearance. Perform snow removal duties, including plowing, shoveling and salting as needed. Ensure all required building preparation and maintenance is completed prior to and assist with special event setup, implementation, and take down as necessary. Assist with preventative maintenance for all golf course equipment in the off season. Paint/repair golf course accessories. Assist with light mechanical duties with both golf course and clubhouse maintenance items. Maintain a positive attitude and promote the Glencoe Golf Club and the Village of Glencoe. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education:
None Related Work Experience:
One to three years Or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Driver's License Required:
Passenger vehicle license.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong customer service skills Ability to use two-way radios Ability to follow verbal instructions Ability to visually inspect all work areas, golf course and grounds Ability to operate golf course equipment, including, but not limited to, mowers, vehicles, hand equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to be on call for overtime Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
Pay:
$53,190.00 - $55,000.00 per year
