We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the association's common areas, facilities, and grounds. This role ensures that the community remains safe, attractive, and in good working order for all members and their guests. Key Responsibilities
Ensure all community and common area buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest standard, safe, and aesthetically appealing for all members and their guests.
General grounds maintenance that could include tasks such as mowing, edging, clearing grass and debris, clearing brush, trimming or removing trees, and removing trash or litter, or other various landscaping duties.
Maintaining and repairing association roadways to ensure they are in great condition. Road repairing, debris removal, and plowing snow or spreading salt in the winter season.
Seasonal lake maintenance and upkeep that could include moving/placing/removing buoys, debris removal, vegetation control, etc.
Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance to association buildings and facilities to make sure they are always in good condition and safe for all members and guests.
Repairing equipment to make sure everything stays operating in excellent working condition and identify potential issues.
Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems, as well as checking functionality.
Various other tasks that may be assigned by the Operations Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Ability to operate mechanical equipment.
Experience using hand and electrical tools.
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Ability to safely operate a watercraft.
Ability to work in adverse conditions including exposure to varying temperatures, snow, rain, extended periods of sun, or exposure to chemicals.
Attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
Ability to comply with strict safety guidelines, required wearing of proper PPE, and following proper protocol to operate equipment in the safest manner possible.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, or have on-call hours as needed.
Ability to follow directions, as well as work independently while unsupervised to successfully accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to work in a physically demanding setting with manual labor that can include heavy lifting, sitting, standing, or operating equipment for extended periods of time .
Illinois Department of Agriculture Commercial Spraying License is preferred, but required within 6 months of starting this position.
Prior experience with commercial facility building maintenance is preferred.

$ 18.00 - $22.00 hourly, depending on experience.
