Job Description

Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of a Maintenance Assistant. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for providing support for a variety of maintenance related areas throughout the facility. This is a full-time, day shift position. Maintenance Assistant Job Duties:
Aid in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing all aspects of the maintenance program. Aid in the completion of forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc. related to the Maintenance Department. Make sure all maintenance work meets quality standards. Aid in the planned program of preventive maintenance. Assure that all defective machines, equipment, and appliances are repaired or replaced. See that grounds and facility are kept safe, neat, and orderly. Conduct monthly fire drills. Participate in facility committees and audits, as needed. Organize, maintain, and store all department-specific supplies and equipment.
Maintenance Assistant Requirements:
A minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program preferred. Knowledge of Life Safety codes and regulations preferred.
