Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and caring Maintenance Assistant to join our long-term care team. We are hoping to find someone who is looking for more than just a job—we want a long-term team member who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
Schedule Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:30
PM Weekend Rotation:
Every 4th weekend
Holiday Rotation:
Every 4th holiday What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is patient, kind, self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented. Because we serve residents in a long-term care setting, we are looking for someone who is respectful and professional and understands that maintenance work directly contributes to the safety, comfort, and quality of life of our residents. Candidates should have knowledge or experience in areas such as: General building repairs and preventive maintenance Basic electrical systems and repairs Heating, cooling, and HVAC systems Plumbing and basic plumbing repairs Computer use and basic technology troubleshooting Grounds and facility upkeep Safety inspections and compliance Identifying maintenance concerns and completing repairs in a timely manner Maintaining accurate records and documentation Following applicable safety procedures, policies, and regulations Long-Term Care Environment Experience working in a long-term care, healthcare, or similar facility is preferred. Knowledge of Michigan long-term care requirements, safety standards, and applicable state and federal regulations is also beneficial. The right person must be comfortable working around residents, families, visitors, and staff while maintaining professionalism, patience, and respect. Pay:
$18.77 - $22.17 per hour
