Construction Maintenance Laborer Job Description The Construction Maintenance Laborer will assist with commercial roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs. This role involves performing preventative maintenance on roofing systems, accurately reading and using a tape measure, and safely handling materials, equipment, and tools on job sites. Responsibilities Assist with commercial roof maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Perform preventative maintenance on roofing systems. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Read and accurately use a tape measure. Handle materials, equipment, and tools on job sites. Identify and report roof damage, leaks, and maintenance issues. Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times. Work at heights while utilizing proper fall protection equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist lead technicians with daily project tasks. Essential Skills Mechanically inclined with basic construction knowledge. Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. Experience operating common hand tools and power tools. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Comfortable climbing ladders and working on rooftops. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Construction, roofing, maintenance, or labor experience is a plus but not required. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
