Job Description

Maintenance Worker III Starting Pay:
$23.93 Streets Department | Full-Time | City of Washington Class B CDL with Airbrakes required The City of Washington is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Worker III to help maintain the streets, infrastructure, and public spaces that keep our community safe and connected. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with experience in public works, construction, equipment operation, or related fields who enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in quality workmanship. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, dump trucks, snowplows, and other specialized machinery; performing street maintenance, snow and ice removal, stormwater infrastructure maintenance, concrete and asphalt repairs, drainage work, sign installation, and equipment maintenance. This position also supports capital projects, assists with special events, and performs a variety of tasks that help ensure City facilities, streets, and public infrastructure remain safe and well-maintained. Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, two to three years of related experience, and a valid Class B commercial driver's license with air brake certification. Experience operating heavy equipment and knowledge of street maintenance, stormwater systems, construction practices, or related public works activities is preferred.
