Job Description
at LC Staffing in Hot Springs, Montana, United States Job Description Ranch CaretakerHot Springs, MTA Retreat Property is seeking a Ranch Caretaker to ensure the general upkeep of their ranch while maintaining a warm and welcoming presence for guests, staff, and surrounding community. This is an on-site position with housing provided in a newly renovated two-bedroom home.
As the Ranch Caretaker, you'll maintain a strong presence traveling throughout the 8,900 acres of the ranch, ensuring everything is running smoothly and securely. You'll be responsible for the security and supporting the maintenance team in managing the facilities, supporting overall ranch operations (landscaping, maintenance, permaculture), and serving as a skilled and compassionate ambassador to our guests, neighbors, and local Tribal members.

Essential Functions and Duties:
Maintain ranch grounds, trails, landscaping, and overall property appearanceAssist with ranch maintenance, repairs, and facilities support, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC , and water systemsPerform seasonal property work such as fencing, forestry, snow removal, weed control, and fire mitigationSupport retreat and guest operations, including property setup, logistics, housekeeping, and transportation coordinationMonitor property conditions, address maintenance needs, and respond to after-hours or emergency situationsCommunicate effectively with staff and leadership while representing the ranch professionally within the community
Qualifications:
Experience with ranch operations, agriculture, landscaping, or groundskeepingBackground in property maintenance, facilities support, construction, or general repair workAbility to operate equipment, utility vehicles, and property maintenance tools safely and effectivelyWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC , irrigation, or water systems preferredExperience supporting hospitality, guest services, or retreat-style environments is a plusFirst Aid, emergency response, or Wilderness First Responder ( WFR ) training preferredGet in touch!
