Maintenance Team Member Classification Hourly, Non-Exempt Reports To Maintenance Supervisor Position Summary The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for maintaining the resort's buildings, grounds, equipment, and facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for members, guests, and fellow team members. This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair, landscaping, and housekeeping duties while delivering exceptional customer service and representing the resort in a professional manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facility Maintenance Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance repairs on resort buildings, cabins, campsites, and facilities. Complete preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Repair or replace damaged equipment, fixtures, and furnishings. Report maintenance issues that require additional repairs or outside contractors. Grounds Maintenance Mow grass, trim weeds, edge sidewalks, and maintain landscaped areas. Pick up litter and empty trash receptacles throughout the resort. Assist with seasonal landscaping, tree trimming, leaf removal, and storm cleanup. Help maintain roads, campsites, and common areas. Resort Operations Assist with pool maintenance and ensure the pool area remains clean and safe. Service laundry facilities and vending/game machines. Assist with propane dispensing (when certified). Operate and maintain maintenance equipment, golf carts, tractors, mowers, and power tools safely. Help set up and tear down for resort events and activities as needed. Guest Service Provide friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to all members and guests. Greet guests with a positive attitude and willingness to assist. Respond promptly to guest requests and report concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor or Resort Manager. Follow up on maintenance requests whenever possible to ensure guest satisfaction. Safety and Compliance Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Properly use, store, and handle tools, equipment, fuels, and chemicals. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Immediately report accidents, unsafe conditions, property damage, or safety concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Team Responsibilities Attend staff meetings and required training sessions. Work cooperatively with all departments to support resort operations. Maintain a professional appearance, including proper uniform and name badge. Meet performance goals established with the Maintenance Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred. Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and maintenance machinery. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record may be required. Preferred Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification or ability to obtain certification. Propane dispensing certification or ability to obtain certification. Previous campground, resort, hotel, apartment, or facilities maintenance experience. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach for extended periods. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity. Safely operate maintenance equipment, ladders, and power tools. Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and occasional emergency call-outs when needed. Work Schedule This position may be full-time or part-time. Flexible scheduling is available; however, weekend, holiday, and occasional evening work is required based on business needs.
