Job Description

PUBLIC WORKS SEASONAL

(TEMPORARY

POSITION

) Performs manual work varying in nature from unskilled to skilled in all public works related facets including but not limited to areas such as roads, landscaping, buildings and grounds construction, repair and maintenance work. May involve the use of specialized tools, small equipment, mowers in connection with laboring work on occasion. Loads and unloads trucks, lifts and moves materials, supplies, furniture and equipment. Performs other facility maintenance tasks including but not limited to replacing light bulbs, repairing plumbing stoppages, repairing various other building components. Must be able to regularly work in outside weather conditions exposed to heat, cold, wet or humid conditions. Position also assists with snow and ice removal. Frequently work near moving equipment and occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic materials. This is a temporary full-time position, 40 hours/week.

Pay:

$17-$22/hour DOQ.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or vocational-technical school program.

Special Requirements:

A valid NJ driver's license.
