Position Overview:
Maintenance Assistant We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the Director of Environmental Services in maintaining the community's physical plant, including buildings, grounds, and essential systems. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities for
Maintenance Assistant Maintenance Tasks:
Assist with maintenance work orders, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, supporting ongoing upkeep based on the maintenance schedule.
Room Turnover:
Aid in preparing rooms for new residents, ensuring all areas are clean and fully functional.
Groundskeeping:
Maintain outdoor areas, including porches and courtyards, ensuring they are free of debris and well-kept.
Building Repairs:
Assist in general building repairs, painting, and upkeep projects.
Housekeeping Support:
Contribute to housekeeping efforts to maintain cleanliness throughout the community.
Safety Compliance:
Work in a clean, organized manner, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Time Management:
Demonstrate strong time management and multitasking abilities.
Communication:
Exhibit strong communication and active listening skills.
Tools Familiarity:
Maintain familiarity with tools and equipment required for repairs and maintenance. Attention to
Detail:
Show coordination and attention to detail in all tasks.
Physical Strength:
Possess the manual dexterity and physical strength necessary for maintenance activities.
Adaptability:
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the role.
Professionalism:
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with residents, staff, and visitors. Experience and Education High school diploma or GED required. Six months of relevant experience or training preferred. General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is helpful.
