Hire Rate:
$26.16 Full-time Building Maintenance Worker sought for the Madison County Facilities Department. The work involves responsibility for performing a variety of semi-skilled building maintenance and repair activities. This class differs from that of Building Maintenance Helper by virtue of the more skilled work performed. Although a working knowledge of one or more trades is required, a Building Maintenance Worker does not use higher level skilled techniques for any considerable amount of time. The work is performed under either general or direct supervision, dependent upon the nature of the activity. Supervision may be exercised over the work of subordinate personnel. A Building Maintenance Worker does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Two (2) years of full-time paid experience or its part-time equivalent in general building maintenance work or in one (1) or more of the mechanical or construction trades or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
NOTE:
If the position involves the operation of a vehicle, possession of an appropriate New York State driver's license is required at the time of appointment and maintenance of said license for the duration of appointment.
