Job Description Landscape/Building Maintenance Worker Power Auto - Sublimity, OR Power Auto is seeking a dependable, responsible, and hardworking Full‑Time Landscape/Building Maintenance Worker to maintain the grounds, outdoor and indoor areas of our facility. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate commercial landscaping and maintenance equipment.
Responsibilities Perform regular lawn care:
mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, and weed control Trim and prune trees, shrubs, hedges, and remove dead or damaged plant material Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and garden beds Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including seasonal start‑up and winterization Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, tractors, chainsaws) Keep outdoor areas clean and safe, including sidewalks, parking lots, and common spaces Remove trash, debris, and perform minor equipment repairs Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems Checking and responding to security and safety issues Testing and recommending new maintenance products Keeping documents of inspections and problems Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies Qualifications 2+ years of groundskeeping and maintenance experience Knowledge of basic gardening tools, horticultural principles, and pest management Ability to safely operate commercial landscaping equipment Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and perform strenuous outdoor work in all weather conditions Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing and welding Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues Administrative skills for ordering supplies, handling records and scheduling maintenance Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license preferred Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations
