MAINTENANCE WORKER

• Full-time (40 hours)

JOB SUMMARY

Maintenance worker performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repairs for the facility by performing the following duties:

DUTIES:

• Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment
• Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal with a plow or shovel
• Replaces broken windows; repairs light bulbs; install/ repair window blinds
• Performs cleaning duties
• Performs preventive maintenance procedure on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, check fluid levels, replaces filter, greases bearings, seals, etc; repair or replaces broken parts
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
• Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance. Will be asked to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations
