Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning and sanitation procedures, following all safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and inspecting facilities for potential issues requiring further attention. Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices and manual handling guidelines to prevent injuries. Maintain cleanliness standards by completing janitorial duties daily, including trash removal, surface disinfection, and floor care. Assist with lifting tasks involving supplies or equipment while following safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety. Support general facilities maintenance activities including portering duties, upkeep of cleaning supplies inventory, and ensuring all areas meet health and safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and hand tools used in maintenance tasks. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols related to custodial work. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks consistently while maintaining safe lifting practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
