Overview:

We are looking to hire a maintenance worker to join our staff and take responsibility of an assisted living facility. Job duties consist of apartment make readies and/ or remodels. Apartment make ready experience a must. Perform daily maintenance tasks as assigned. Knowledge of basic residential construction a must. Some light plumbing and electrical experience would be helpful, HVAC experience would be helpful but not required. You will be working in and around elderly residents and their homes. Extreme courtesy and customer service are a must. This is a state licensed facility, background checks will be performed. Must be able to perform job with little to no supervision. You will be on call 24/7.

Duties:

Apartment make readies, i.e. painting, drywall, carpentry
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general repairs, i.e. changing light bulbs, air filters, etc.
Be able to see, diagnose and solve basic problems that will arise in a residential setting
Respond to maintenance requests from staff and tenants
Coordinate with external contractors when necessary
Provide excellent customer service to staff, tenants, and visitors

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in facilities maintenance and/or apartment make readies
Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Problem-solving skills
