Part Time Please Provide:
Cover Letter Resume Three letters of recommendation This position is for approximately 9 hours per week. Position Overview The Sweeper - Part Time maintains clean, safe, and attractive school facilities and grounds to support a positive learning environment for students and staff. This position performs custodial and grounds maintenance duties, including cleaning buildings, maintaining grounds, setting up school areas for daily use and events, replenishing supplies, and responding to operational or safety concerns. Key Responsibilities Clean assigned school facilities including classrooms, offices, restrooms, gyms, and multipurpose rooms to maintain sanitary and safe conditions. Maintain school grounds, including mowing, trimming, weeding, sprinkler maintenance, and other landscaping duties. Prepare facilities for daily operations, including opening gates, raising flags, sweeping walkways, and removing snow when necessary. Replenish classroom and restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, and other materials. Set up and clean assigned areas for school activities and events to ensure safe and operational spaces. Perform summer maintenance tasks, including floor stripping and waxing, painting, carpet cleaning, and furniture movement. Secure buildings and grounds by locking doors and gates, setting alarms, and turning lights on or off as required. Respond to operational or safety concerns including vandalism, facility damage, or alarms and notify appropriate personnel. Provide information and guidance to students and staff regarding safety and facility use. Assist other site maintenance staff with custodial or grounds duties as needed. Unload supply deliveries and distribute materials to appropriate areas of the school. Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and other professional development activities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Minimum Qualifications Skills Operating industrial cleaning equipment and maintenance tools Adhering to safety practices and procedures Knowledge Methods and techniques of industrial cleaning Safety practices related to custodial and grounds maintenance Abilities Work cooperatively with diverse individuals and teams Adapt to changing work priorities and schedules Communicate effectively with staff and students Follow written and verbal instructions Work effectively with frequent interruptions Responsibility Works under direct supervision using standardized procedures while providing custodial and maintenance support. Work Environment Work is performed in school facilities and outdoor environments with exposure to weather conditions and physical labor demands, including lifting, pushing, climbing, and prolonged walking. Continuing Education / Training District required training annually.
