Job Description

The School District of Tomahawk seeks an individual to join our dedicated and skilled Maintenance & Buildings & Grounds team to ensure our facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained. This position involves working indoors and outdoors to support the upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Conduct general carpentry work, including minor repairs and installations. Maintain cleanliness and safety of school grounds, including mowing, snow removal, and landscaping. Inspect and maintain playgrounds, parking lots, and sidewalks. Ensure classrooms, hallways, and common areas are in good condition. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and administration. Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery. Assist with setting up and taking down furniture for school events. Follow safety protocols and adhere to school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. Valid driver's license required. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
