Overview Join our dynamic team as a City Infrastructure & Facilities Management professional, where you will lead the maintenance, repair, and management of essential mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems that keep our city's infrastructure running smoothly. As a full-time Infrastructure & Facilities Management Department employee for the City of Goshen, you will be responsible for operating the City Tractors (one of which is a side arm brush-hog tractor), the City's one ton dump truck, the City's Bucket Truck, mowers, motorized equipment, as well as various other pieces of equipment and implements. You will also be expected to assist with permitting, zoning, and administrative office work. This employee may be asked to perform strenuous manual tasks in the maintenance, construction, and repair of city streets, and right-of-way. During inclement weather the employee may be asked to assist in plowing, spreading salt, removal of downed trees/limbs, or other emergency situations. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating safe, efficient, and sustainable urban environments that serve the community's needs every day. Responsibilities Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as tractors, skid steer, excavator, bulldozer, bucket truck, dump truck, CDL preferred. Familiarity with roadway maintenance and repair, including ARDOT specific regulations. Assist with or oversee mechanical systems repair, electrical systems upkeep, plumbing maintenance, and HVAC system servicing. Lead initiatives for facilities improvement projects by working with contractors and ensuring adherence to technical schematics and safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience working with facilities maintenance teams in an industrial or municipal setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), plumbing system maintenance, and industrial maintenance procedures. Proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues; familiarity with engineering troubleshooting methods. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to facilities management. Excellent project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within deadlines. Strong communication skills in English; ability to prepare reports and coordinate with various teams effectively. Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems. Understanding of municipal zoning and permitting. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
