About the Role Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking a passionate and energetic Service Manager to join the leadership team at Margaritaville Capitola . This role is responsible for leading the front-of-house team, creating exceptional guest experiences, and ensuring every shift operates with excellence. Our Service Managers are hands-on leaders who coach in real time, lead by example on the floor, and create an environment where both guests and team members thrive. The Ideal Candidate The ideal Service Manager is an experienced restaurant leader who thrives on the floor. They are calm under pressure, passionate about hospitality, and committed to coaching and developing others. They understand that great service comes from preparation, accountability, and genuine care for both guests and teammates. This person is proactive, highly organized, and able to make decisions quickly while maintaining a positive and professional presence. Responsibilities Lead daily FOH operations during service Deliver exceptional guest experiences through active floor presence and hospitality Coach servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff in real time Ensure adherence to service standards, steps of service, and company expectations Conduct pre-shift meetings that inspire, educate, and prepare the team for success Monitor dining room flow, guest satisfaction, table turns, and staffing levels throughout each shift Resolve guest concerns professionally and create positive service recovery experiences Maintain labor efficiency while ensuring outstanding guest service Partner with culinary and bar leadership to execute seamless service Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training of front-of-house employees Hold team members accountable through coaching, documentation, and performance feedback when necessary Ensure compliance with health, safety, alcohol service, and company policies Complete shift reports, manager logs, and operational follow-up with attention to detail Foster a culture built on accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality Desired Skills & Experience 2-5 years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment Proven ability to lead and motivate hospitality teams Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Experience with Toast POS and OpenTable preferred Understanding of labor management, scheduling, and restaurant operations Wine, beer, and craft cocktail knowledge is a plus Food Safety Manager Certification and California RBS Certification Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays What We're Looking For Our best leaders: Lead from the floor Coach in the moment instead of after the fact Hold high standards while treating people with respect Stay calm, solution-oriented, and positive during busy services Believe every guest interaction matters Take ownership and follow through Continuously look for ways to improve the business and the team Why Join Sunset Hospitality Group?
