About Weburg Mobile Diesel Weburg Mobile Diesel is a specialized commercial fleet maintenance provider based in Eureka, California. We operate a mobile repair service that dispatches technicians directly to client sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment. We focus on minimizing vehicle downtime through structured diagnostic processes and reliable parts logistics, serving the Humboldt County region and beyond with a dedicated team of professionals. The Service Manager Role The Service Manager at Weburg Mobile Diesel runs the day-to-day operations of the shop. You will be responsible for managing incoming customer leads, dispatching our mobile technicians, and serving as the primary point of contact for our fleet clients. We need a self-directed professional who can manage multiple phone lines & email, handle sourcing & ordering commercial truck repair parts, and ensure our shop workflow stays on track. If you have the experience to manage a fast-paced shop and take pride in keeping heavy equipment moving, this role is for you.
Responsibilities Scheduling:
Schedule appointments and coordinate daily service calls.
Dispatching:
Dispatching technicians to scheduled repairs and road service calls while making sure they have the materials, directions and scope of work to complete repairs.
Documentation:
Write estimates, repair orders and invoices with accuracy.
Parts & Inventory Management:
Research and order parts while maintaining shop inventory.
Processing Payments:
Receive and process customer payments.
Account Management:
Provide communication between fleet customers and our technicians. This includes proactively calling customers for approvals, status updates, and payment collection.
Qualifications Experience:
Previous experience as a service writer, shop manager or lead technician in an automotive or diesel shop. Parts counter experience is a major plus.
Communication:
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to confidently communicate with customers & solve problems. You must be comfortable and confident speaking directly with customers on the phone.
Independence:
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage the day to day task
Software Proficiency:
Ability to use industry software (i.e. Mitchell1, Repairlink) along with basic computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
Skills:
Be able to touch-type at a minimum of 50 WPM.
Reliability:
Clean driving record (preferred, but not required).
Pay:
$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
