BENEFIT ELIGIBILITY AFTER 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT
(1st day of the 1st pay period after 30 days) Every day as Lead Maintenance Specialist you will: Perform comprehensive maintenance duties including carpentry, electrical work, painting, patching/plastering, plumbing, welding, HVAC, lawn care, locksmith work, and general repair work. Maintain equipment and tools in proper working conditions and ensure proper storage. Complete work order documentation ensuring information is communicated in an accurate manner. Ensure a safe working environment by following all regulations and reporting safety concerns immediately Maintain equipment and tools in proper working conditions and ensure proper storage. Ensure that time and materials are used in an efficient manner. Lead the work of maintenance staff in projects related to area(s) of technical expertise. Under the direction of supervisor, acquire proper materials. Identify needs and recommend alternative solutions. Complete annual training and ensure certifications remain up to date and complete. The lead maintenance specialist will work on our main campus in Goleta as well as Devereux occupied homes in the general Santa Barbara and Lompoc area. A company vehicle will be provided for transportation between locations. Devereux California is a therapeutic behavioral health treatment facility offering residential services, community living, day programs, and clinical services for adults with multiple diagnoses, including autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral differences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia and other cognitive disorders. #sponsored
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age. Must possess current, valid driver's license and maintain clean driving record Pass a thorough background check and livescan fingerprint Minimum of (1) year of experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair work involving; carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, locksmith, mechanics and general trades. One or more years of specialized training preferred.
PHYS ICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires significant amounts of standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Often required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Regularly requires lifting/moving weight of up to 25lbs, frequently lift/move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust to focus.
OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE
Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate. Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
