Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead our dealership's service department. The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily service operations, developing and supporting the service team, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and achieving department profitability and performance goals. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with automotive service management experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to motivate a team while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dealership service department. Lead, coach, and develop Service Advisors, Technicians, and support staff. Monitor department performance, productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Establish and achieve monthly service department goals. Ensure repair orders are accurately written, documented, and completed in a timely manner. Maintain high standards for customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally. Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs. Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and quality of work. Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Review and approve repair orders, warranty claims, and service-related expenses as needed. Maintain proper staffing levels and assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring service department employees. Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations. Monitor inventory, equipment, and facility needs. Ensure the service department maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Analyze service department reports and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Build strong relationships with customers and promote customer retention and repeat business. Perform other duties as assigned by dealership management. Qualifications Previous experience as an Automotive Service Manager or in a similar dealership management role preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive service operations and repair processes. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to analyze financial and performance reports. Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Experience with dealership management systems is preferred.
