Timberline Helicopters is growing quickly, expanding its people, capabilities, and capacity. With a planned move into a new hangar in mid-2027, this is an opportunity to shape the team, systems, and operating discipline that will carry a respected rotorcraft repair station into its next phase.
About Timberline
Timberline Helicopters operates an FAA-certificated Part 145 repair station focused on
UH-60A/A+/L
Black Hawk and Kaman
K-1200 K-MAX
aircraft, with a King Air phase-inspection program in development. Timberline is the holder of the UH-60A and UH-60L type certificates and specializes in complete UH-60 demilitarization, civilian conversion, and refurbishment, including aerial-firefighting mission equipment and customized avionics packages. We have delivered five completed aircraft builds in the past 18 months. Our current capabilities include heavy and depot-level maintenance, progressive maintenance inspections, structural repair, component repair, avionics integration, modifications, and aircraft rebuild and refurbishment. Timberline is also expanding its capabilities to include UH-60 component overhaul.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Director of Maintenance (DOM) to lead Timberline's maintenance organization through its next stage of growth.
Reporting to the Accountable Manager, the DOM leads maintenance personnel and department leads across aircraft builds, structures, avionics, components, and hangar operations. This is a highly visible floor-leadership role requiring someone equally comfortable leading people, solving production challenges, maintaining regulatory discipline, and working directly with customers and prime contractors.
What You'll Lead
Safety, quality & compliance: Ensure maintenance is performed safely and in accordance with FAA requirements, Operations Specifications, approved technical data, and company procedures.
People & performance: Lead, develop, and hold accountable supervisors, technicians, and multi-discipline maintenance teams.
Production:
Set priorities, balance labor and capacity, remove constraints, and drive aircraft and component work to schedule without compromising airworthiness or quality.
Customers & projects: Manage maintenance scope, findings, changes, risks, schedules, and delivery expectations with customers and prime contractors.
Operational discipline: Strengthen work packages, records, task cards, tool control, calibration, FOD prevention, shift handoffs, and

workflow.
Growth:
Build workforce capability and help lead Timberline's transition into its new hangar and expanded Part 145 capabilities.
AOG response: Participate in the required on-call roster and coordinate personnel and logistics when aircraft support is needed.
Requirements
Required Qualification's
Current FAA A&P certificate IA a Plus but not required
Substantial hands-on UH-60 Black Hawk maintenance experience
10+ years of progressively responsible aviation maintenance experience
Proven leadership of supervisors and multi-discipline maintenance teams
Strong working knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, 91, and 145
Demonstrated ability to lead complex maintenance programs and make sound decisions under pressure
Strong communication, leadership, accountability, and safety mindset
Ability to participate in Timberline's AOG/on-call rotation
experience; and experience scaling or relocating a maintenance operation.
