We're seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Working Shop Foreman to lead our service department and ensure top-quality work while fostering a safe and productive environment.
Position Summary:
The Shop Foreman will supervise and mentor a team of diesel technicians, manage workflow, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. This position also involves working on all makes and models of semi-trucks, in addition to overseeing the shop and mentoring the team, ensuring both leadership and hands-on expertise drive our service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and support a team of technicians in day-to-day operations. Assign work orders, track progress, and ensure timely, high-quality repairs. Assist with complex diagnostics and repairs when needed. Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized shop environment. Collaborate with service advisors, parts, and management to optimize workflow. Monitor inventory of tools and parts and coordinate orders as necessary. Maintain accurate records of work performed and staff performance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role in a heavy-duty truck or diesel service environment. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and truck systems. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to mentor and motivate a team while maintaining high standards. CDL preferred but not required; willingness to obtain a CDL is a plus.
