Central Illinois:

Decatur, Springfield, Peoria and Champaign. We sell and service ATVs, side-by-sides, motorcycles and personal watercraft. Our Springfield store at 3230 Atlanta St is hiring a Service Manager to run the shop. This is a working manager's job. You'll own the schedule, the techs, the quality of every repair order and the department's numbers. You'll have written processes to run with, and you'll be paid on what the department sells. PAY $72,000-$90,000 a year: monthly base salary plus commission on department sales, with quarterly and annual performance bonuses.

SCHEDULE

Tuesday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, in by 8:30 AM to run the morning shop meeting. In person.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Run the shop day. Hold the morning meeting so every tech has ROs and parts before the doors open. Match jobs to tech skill on the scheduler. Check progress with the advisors through the day. Own RO quality. Set quoted time before the customer gets a price. Spot-check job lines, hours and customer communication. QC every RO before it's closed. Run warranty. Authorize claims, verify payment and keep the outstanding-claim list current every week. Warranty money left unclaimed is money the shop already earned. Lead the team. Train, schedule and coach techs, service writers, porters and wash bay so the shop is staffed and productive every hour we're open. Hit the numbers. You'll be measured on technician proficiency (80% target), labor mix (65-70% customer labor), payroll at 30% of gross profit or less, and service absorption. Take care of customers. Every customer gets greeted, gets a full recommendation on their machine, and hears from us before they have to call. Review CSI and act on it. Work across the store. Partner with Sales and Parts on deliveries, setups, PDIs and parts staging. Look after the shop. Keep equipment safe, maintained and secure.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

At least 1 year as a powersports, motorcycle or automotive technician, or in a dealership service department Experience leading people, as a manager, shop foreman, lead tech or service writer running a team Comfortable in a dealer management system. We use Lightspeed. High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

Powersports dealership service management experience OEM warranty claim experience with Polaris, Kawasaki, CF Moto or similar brands A track record of growing a service department's sales or
