  • $126,100 (Min-Mid)
Scheduled Work Hours:
Day Shift, Monday
  • Friday, 6:30 am
  • 4:00 pm (Other hours as required).
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the maintenance crew in the maintenance of power plant equipment by effectively utilizing personnel, equipment and other resources in a safe, reliable, efficient, environmentally sound and cost-effective manner in support of the business unit's performance measures. The goal of the Maintenance Supervisor is to achieve equipment reliability and improve maintenance effectiveness. Specific duties
Include:
  • Provide direction, coaching and continued training for Journeyman and Apprentices in new technology, standards, and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work force.
  • Set the standard for safety, quality and productivity through clear and frequent communications with the maintenance staff.
  • Actively lead and fully support efforts to improve equipment reliability and productivity through RCM studies, predictive maintenance, root-cause analysis, procedure development, and the workflow process of maintenance work.
  • Develop and manage with the planning/scheduling team members, a weekly schedule that supports the operational needs of the plant and daily work assignments.
  • Ensure work documentation is accurate, complete, and entered into the CMMS in a timely fashion by yourself and your crew.
  • Set expectations and hold assigned crew accountable for productivity, work documentation, safety and reliability; develop and execute strategies for improvements as needs are identified.
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate for this role will have mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment, including a basic understanding of reliability-based maintenance. Have a people first mentality with excellent leadership skills, with focus on coaching, mentoring and performance management.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Demonstrates values of honesty, integrity, respect for others, teamwork and collaboration, accountability and performance.
  • Knowledgeable in the maintenance of all types of power plant electrical and mechanical equipment and able to research resources for information to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions.
