SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR
  • TITLE 32, WS-5801-10, you will plan use of subordine workers, equipment, facilities, and merials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis.
Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by the supervisor. Coordine work with supporting or reled work functions controlled by other supervisors. Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Assign tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures. Investige work reled problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes. Implement corrective actions within their authority to resolve work problems. Recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, and work operions directed by other supervisors. Ensure work in progress and completed work meets established standards by implemention of a Quality Control and Assurance program within the organizion. Plan and establish overall leave schedules. Determine training needs of subordines and arranges for accomplishment. Set performance standards, and makes formal appraisals of subordine work performance. Perform other duties as assigned. OF EMPLOYMENT
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky Nional Guard. You must be assigned to a compible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. May be required to successfully complete a supervisory/managerial probionary period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudicion of a T3 or equivalent investigion. Acceptance of a Federal position may termine a military bonus. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
Experience which demonstres the ability to organize assignments for subordines and explain manuals and work procedures. Experience estiming merial and manpower needed for specific jobs. Experience preparing production records, work records and reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least 36 months experience diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying vehicles, equipment, and systems. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve maintenance and repair problems. Experience in testing, inspecting, and evaluing the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems. Experience which demonstres the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience reviewing work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience which demonstres the ability to supervise and communice knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situions.
