Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance and repair operations for heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems. In this vital role, you will oversee daily shop activities, coordinate repairs, and ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Your expertise will drive productivity, uphold quality standards, and foster a collaborative team environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and leadership skills in a fast-paced, hands-on setting. Duties Supervise daily shop operations, including scheduling work orders and allocating resources effectively Lead and mentor a team of foreman specializing in heavy equipment, automotive repair, and industrial machinery Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals Oversee the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment such as excavators, jarraffs, tractors, skid steers and more. Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, transmissions, and suspension Manage inventory of parts, hand tools, power tools, welding supplies, and other equipment necessary for repairs Coordinate with vendors for parts procurement and warranty services to minimize downtime Additional duties will be discussed upon hire and are subject to change based on experience. Requirements Proven experience working in a dealership or heavy equipment service environment with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Extensive knowledge of fabrication techniques and equipment repair including welding and assembly processes Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, skid steers and more. Proficiency in reading schematics for electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and vehicle diagnostics Mechanical expertise in vehicle maintenance—covering brake repair, shocks & struts, alignment, suspension systems—and diesel engine repair Familiarity with automotive electrical systems for both trucks and industrial equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all repairs Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring quality workmanship Excellent organizational skills to oversee maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards Join us as a Shop Foreman where your mechanical expertise meets leadership!
