Overview We are seeking an energetic, experienced, and detail-oriented Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and drive it to new levels of performance and customer satisfaction. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the department's daily operations, lead a team of skilled technicians and service advisors, and ensure every vehicle receives the highest standard of care. You will play a key role in creating an efficient, positive, and customer-focused service experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate will bring a strong automotive background, proven leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service . Duties Lead and motivate the service team to achieve operational excellence and high customer satisfaction. Oversee the repair process, ensuring accurate diagnostics, efficient workflow, and quality workmanship across all automotive repairs, including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, oil changes, tire services, diesel engine repairs, collision repairs, and more. Utilize estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools to prepare accurate repair estimates and communicate effectively with clients about their vehicle needs. Manage service writing duties, including creating detailed repair orders and ensuring proper documentation for all services performed. Upsell additional services or repairs by identifying customer needs while maintaining integrity and transparency. Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies; coordinate with vendors to ensure timely availability of necessary components. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining compliance with dealership policies. Foster strong client communication by explaining repairs clearly and providing exceptional customer service throughout the service process. Experience Proven experience in auto service management within a dealership or automotive repair shop environment. Extensive mechanic experience with knowledge of automotive repair procedures across various systems such as transmissions, air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, suspension components, diesel engines, and collision repair. Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Demonstrated ability in upselling services while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team leadership. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various types of vehicles confidently.
