Project Service Inc (PSI) is currently seeking applicants for a Maintenance /Janitorial -Assistant Manager in the Iron Mountain, MI area. Pay rate range is $19.00 -$19.7h5/hour depending on experience. Full time benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, 401K and paid holidays/vacation. Must pass background check and drug test.

Job Summary:

Responsible for organizing schedules, have knowledge on timecard process, assigning various tasks, completing site audits, managing inventories, ordering supplies if necessary thru account manager. Assist in overseeing PSI operations at the specific site and will need to work closely with the employees on any janitorial issues.

Essential Functions:

v Training of janitorial workers using proper methods and procedures and to ensure proper operation of equipment and detailed cleaning v Perform daily cleaning audits and complete walk throughs of all facility to ensure buildings are secured v Must have strong communication skills in directing staff v Must be strong leader v Must possess strong organizational skills and pay attention to details v Must be flexible in work schedule v Must be able to perform all general cleaning duties as needed to fill in for absent employees or to assist with completion of work assigned v Must be safety conscious v Must be able to assist in the disciplining of employees v Basic computer knowledge (email, word, excel) a plus v Must have general labor background(painting, light bulb change outs, snow removal w/ plow truck and small tractor duties, air filter change outs, grass cutting w/ riding lawn mower, other light maintenance functions)

Education/Experience:

v Must have strong communication and organizational skills and demonstrates such v High school graduate or GED equivalent v 2 years cleaning experience v 2 years managing personnel is a plus

Physical Requirements:

v Ability to run floor scrubber and carpet extractors v Ability to run all types of vacuums & general maintenance of the equipment v Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 hours v Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs. v Ability to climb ladders, work off of elevated platforms

Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes methods of industrial cleaning, preserving floors, walls, fixtures, etc. Cleaning materials, safety practices and procedures.
