340 Custodial Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Directs the overall operations of the maintenance department to ensure the upkeep, cleanliness, and orderliness of the casino and grounds for guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions. Supervises custodians. Determines staffing requirements, schedules, work assignments, and training needs. Is responsible for interviewing, hiring, promoting, demoting, terminating, and leave recommendations. Provides proper safety and security to company assets, including personnel. Prepares and maintains department budget. Understands and enforces all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to custodial maintenance. Develops and maintains policy and procedures manuals for the custodial department, including job descriptions and internal controls. Keeps staff informed of marketing promotions and events, changes to policies and procedures, and other necessary information. Prepares and administers evaluations, personnel reports, and disciplinary actions. Maintains payroll time cards, financial reports, employment activity records, and other departmental records. Is responsible for equipment including, but not limited to, general maintenance, ordering parts for repair, or requesting repair service. Assists custodial maintenance with job duties and responsibilities as necessary. Is responsible for cleaning supplies and other department inventory ordering as necessary. Develops employee incentives. Attends and/or conducts all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned
